ORDINANCE N0. 87-079
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE
AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 31-19 (b) OF SAID CODE; PROVID-
ING FOR CLARIFICATION OF SEWER SERVICE FEES; PROVIDING FOR A
PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $500.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 1, 1988.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COL'NCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That Section 31-19 (b) of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended. so
that such shall read as f.ollows:
"Sec. 31-19. Sewer rates - For customers using
city water.
(a) . . .
(b) The charge for sewer service for a single
residential unit separately metered shall not
exceed $20.00 per month, regardless of the
metered water consumptior. and total monthly
bill.
(c) . . . if
Section 2. Any person violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a
Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum
not to exceed $500.00, and each and every day's continuance
of any violation of the above enumerated section shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance sha11 become effective on
January l, 1988.
