86-003 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 31-25 (a) OF SAID CODE
ORDINANCE N0. 86-003
AN ORDINANCE OF TNF CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE
AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 31-25 (a) OF SAID CODE;
PROVIDING FOR WATER, SEWER AND SANITATION BILLS AND ACCOUNTS
TO BE DUE AND PAYABLE ON OR BEFORE THE lOTH DAY FOLLOWING
THE BILLING DATE AND BECOMING DELINQUENT ON THE 11TH DAY
AFTER THE BILLING DATE; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO
EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING A?.L ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATF OF APRIL l, 1986.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That Section 31-25 (a) of the Code of
Ordinanc_Ps of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so
that such shall read as -It7ollows:
"Sec. 31-25. Billing; when and where payable.
(a) The division shall render bi11s for
readiness to serve and water service or for sewer
service furnished by the City of Paris to any
person, firm or corporation on a monthly basis,
with such billing being rendered on or abaut the
same day each month. Bills and accounts shall be
due and payable on or before the lOth day follow-
ing the billing date and shall become delinquent
on the llth day after said billing date."
Section 2. Any person vzolating any of the pro-
visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C"
Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum
not to exceed $200.00, and each and every day's continuance
of any violation of the above enumerated section shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts o£ ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on
April 1, 1986 .
