86-007 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 29-115(b) AND (c) OF SAID CODE ORDINANCE N0. 86-007 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 29-115(b) AND (c) OF SAID CODE; PROVIUING FOR ANGLE HANDICAPPED PARKING IN THE 400 BLOCK OF 4TH S.W. STREET WEST OF AND ADJACENT TO THE CURB LINE OF THE STREET WITH CURB AND GUTTER BORDERING SUCH ANGLE PARKING AREA WITH A FOUR (4) FOOT WALKWAY ADJACENT TO THE WEST BOUNDARY LINE OF SAID ANGLE PARKING AREA WITH HANDICAPPED RAMPS BEING CONSTRUCTED ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH SIDE OF EACH OF SAID PARKING SPACES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MAY l, 1986. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That Section 29-115(b) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by adding to the first sentence thereof the following: "Sec. 29-115 Parallel and angle parking. (b) , , , and for three (3) handicapped parking spaces on the West side of 4th S.W. Street in the 400 block." Section 2. That Section 29-115)c) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by adding thereto the following: "Sec. 29-115 Parallel and angle parking. (c) , , , Texas Department af Human Services is permitted to provide three (3) 45° angle handicapped parking spaces adjacent to the West curb line of 4th S.W. Street in the 400 block, with such parking area being er.closed with curb and gutter and having constructed on the West side immediately adjacent thereto a four (4) foot wide sidewalk and with each of the three (3) handicapped spaces having constructed adjacent to the parking spaces a handicapped ramp leading to said sidewalk." Section 3. Any person violating any of the pro- visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200.00, and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated section shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. Section 4. AZ1 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conf_lict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective on May 1, 1986.
