ORDINANCE N0. 86-009 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 4-14 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE IN THE SCHEDULE OF IMPOUNDMENT FEES; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF May l, 1986. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section l. That Section 4-14 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 4-14. Impoundment Fees. The following shall be the fees charged as poundage for the impoundment of animals under section 4-13: (1) For impounding livestock, per head $20.00 (2) For impounding dogs and cats, per head 15.00 (3) For care of livestock, per head, per day 5.00 (4) For care of dogs and cats, per head, per da.y 3.00 (5) For quarantine of dogs and cats, for ten (10) days 50.00 (6) Additional cost for impounding, the actual cost expended. (7) For newspaper advertisements, the actual cost expended." Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200.00, and each and every day's continuance of any violation of the above enumerated section shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on May 1, 1986.
