AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES
ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A
PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS DISTRICT (PLI) ON LOT 1, CITY
BLGCK 248-B AND LOT 1, BLOCK D, CROCKETT PLACE ADDITION, ON
PROPERTY BELONGING TO PARIS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, SO
AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORNERLY DESIGNATED AS A
GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES
OF THE PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS DISTRICT (PLI) SO
ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That the boundaries heretotore established
by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed,
and that a PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS DISTRICT (PLI), be,
and the same is hereby established on LOT l, CITY BLOCK
248-B AND LOT l, BLOCK D, CROCKETT PLACE ADDITION, on
property belonging to PAkIS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, so
as to include in such PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS DISTRICT
(PLI) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly
and is presently designated as a GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT
(GR), and that the boundaries of said PUBLIC LANDS AND
INSTITUTIONS DISTRICT (PLI), be, and the same arz hereby
established as follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the
City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of
Texas, and being Lot 1, City Block 248-B and Lot
1, Block D, Crockett Place Addition arid more
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the East
Boundary LinP of 19th S.E. with the South Boundary
Line of Clarksville StreeL, the Northwest corner
of said Lot l, City Block 248-B;
THENCE Sautheasterly along the South Boundary
Line of Clarksville Street, a distance of 185 feet
to a point, the Northeast corner of said Lot l,
City Block 248-B;
THENCE South a distarice of 255 feet to a
point, the Southeast corner of said Lot 1, Block
D, Crockett Place Addition;
THENCE West, a distance of 161 feet to a
point in the East Boundary Line of 19th S.E., the
Southwest corner o-IL: said Lot 1, Block D, Crockett
Place Addition;
THENCE North alorig the East Boundary Line of
19th S.E. a distance of 345 feet to the place of
beginning.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development
of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to
change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance
with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use
map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris, in regular session convened, in the Council Room,
City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 20th day of October,
1986.
