AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES
ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) ON LOT 12, CITY BLOCK 321, ON
PROPERTY BELONGING TO ERIC S. CLIFFORD, GARY MICHAEL
COPELAND AI1D GAIL C. DAVIS, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN
TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT
(A); A11D DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CON14ERCIAL
DISTRICT (C) SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established
by the Zoning Plap and Ordir.ance No. 1710 of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed,
and that a COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C), be, and the same is
hereby established on LOT 12, CITY BLOCK 321, on property
belonging to ERIC S. CLIFFORD, GARY MICHAEL COPELAND AND
GAIL C. DAVIS, so as to include in such COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
(C) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly
and is presently designated as a AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A),
and that the boundaries of said COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C), be,
and the sar.ie are hereby established as follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the
City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of
Texas, and being a part of the Hiram Williams
Survey;
BEGINNING at the SW corner of 32 acres of
land formerly owned by Nellie Reeves Shuler and
conveyed to her by W. A. Lain, now owned by Fred
Council.
THENCE East to the center of Pine Bluff Road,
400 feet;
THENCE Southwest to an angle of 95 deg. 553
feet to a corner of a tract of land formerly in
the name of John H. Cowdry;
THENCE North 324 feet to the place of
beginning, their being a 20 foot road running
across this tract on the North side thereof which
is included in this description.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development
of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to
change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance
with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use
map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris, in regular session convenecl, in the Council Room,
City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 13th day of May, 1985.
