AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
AMENDING ORDIPJANCE N0. 85-013 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS,
TEXAS, BY CHANGING THE EFFECTIVE llATE OF THE SAME; PROVIDING
FOR A PENALTY NQT TG EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JULY 1, 1985.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That Section 5 of Ordinance No. 85-013
of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such
shall read as follows:
"Sec. 5. This Ordinance shall become effective
on July 1, 1985."
Section 2. It is hereby declared to be the
intention of the City Council of the City of Paris that the
sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this
ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause,
sentence, paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be
declared unconstitutional or invalid by the valid judgment
or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such
unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect any of
the remaining phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs and
sections of this ordinance, since the same would have been
enacted by the City Council without the incorporation in
this ordinance of any unconstitutional or invalid phrases,
clauses, sentences, paragraphs or sections.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C"
Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum
not to exceed $200.00, an each and every day's continuance
of any violation of the above enumerated section shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 4. Al1 ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective on
May 13, 1985.
Passed and adopted this 13th day of May, 1985.
