85-048 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY ADDING SECTION 14-4 AND 15-25 TO SAID CODE
ORDINANCE NO. 85-048
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE
AMENDED BY ADDING SECTION 14-4 AND 15-25 TO SAID CODE;
PROVIDING FOR THE INCREASING OF THE PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS
RELATING TO PUBLIC HEALTH AND SANITATION FROM A MAXIMUM OF
$200.00 TO A MAXIMUM OF $1,000.00; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY
NOT TO EXCEED $1,000.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS
OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE OF SEPTENiBER 1, 1985.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by adding Section 14-4 to
Article I of Chapter 14, to read as follows:
"Sec. 14-4. Any person violating any of the
provisions of this Article shall be guilty of a
Class C Misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be
fined in any sum not to exceed one thousand
dollars ($1,000.00), and each day's continuance of
any violation described in this Article shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense."
Section 2. That the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by adding Section 15-25
to Article II of Chapter 15, to read as follows:
"Sec. 15-25. Penalty.
Any person violating any of the provisions of
this Article shall be guilty of a Class C Misde-
meanor and upon conviction shall be fined in any
sum not to exceed one thousand dollars
($1,000.00), and each day's continuance of any
violation described in this Article shall con-
stitute and be deemed a separate offense."
Section 3. Any person violating any of the pro-
visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C"
Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum
not to exceed $1,000.00, and each and every day's continu-
ance of any violation of the above enumerated sections shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Sectian 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on
September l, 1985.
