AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE
AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 29-115(c) OF SAID CODE; PRO-
VIDING FOR 90° ANGLE PARKING AND THE PLACEMENT OF PREFAB-
RICATED CONCRETE STOPPERS IN LIEU OF CURB AND GUTTER FOR
SIDEWALK PROTECTION; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED
$200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF
DECEMBER 1, 1985.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That Section 29-115(c) of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended by
adding thereto the following:
"Sec. 29-115 Parallel and angle parking.
(c) Booker T. Washington Homes is
permitted to provide 90° angle parking in the 1300
block of 8th N. E. Street and is permitted to
protect the sidewalks at the perimeter of such
angle parking with prefabricated concrete stoppers
in lieu of the above requirements for curb and
gutter. George Wright Homes is permitted to
provide 90° angle parking in the 500 block of 9th
S. W. Street and in the 600 aiid 700 blocks of lOth
S. W. Street and is permitted to protect the
sidewa?ks at the perimeter of such angle parking
with prefabricated concrete stoppers in lieu of
the above requirements for curb and gutter."
Section 2. Any person violating any of the pro-
visions oi this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C"
Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum
not to exceed $200.00, and each and every day's continuance
of any violation of the above enumerated section shall
constitur_e and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Sectiori 4. This ordinance shall become effective on
December l, 1985.
