85-067 ORD PROVIDING ORDINANCES NO 1710 BE AMENDED
ORDINANCE N0. 85-067
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT ORDINANCE NC. 1710 BE AMENDED; PROVIDING FOR
A NEW SCHEDULED USE OF BED AND BREAKFAST; DEFINE THE SAME
AND REQUIRING A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT FOR SUCH USE; AND
CORRECTING THE LIST OF SPECIFIC USE PERMITS IN SECTION 12 OF
SAID ORDINANCE BY ADDING THERETO RECREATION FACiLITY
PRIVATE; PROVTDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $1,000.00;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 1,
1986.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Sectiozi 1. That Section Ordinance 1710 of the City
of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended as follows:
a. That Paragraph 8-101, Primary Residential
Uses, be atriended by addirg immediately af_ter
"Rooming House" the following:
"Bed and Breakfast Historical Residence (41)
"S" Shall be placed under two Family Dwell-
ing (2F) and Multi-family Dwelling No. 1
(MF-1) indicating the requirement for a
specific use permit in order for said use to
be allowed in such districts and hatchmarks
to occur under Multi-family Dwelling No. 2
(MF-2), Parking (P), Office (0), Neighborhood
Service (NS), General Retail (GR), Commercial
(C) and Central Area (CA) indicating that
said use could be in said districts without
the requirement of any additional zoning
action."
b. That Paragraph 8-201 be amended by adding
thereto the following:
"(41) Bed and Breakfast Historical Residence
- in residence that has historical signifi-
cance as evidenced by being listed in the
Historical Register or having been granted a
Historical Medallion occupied by the owner
thereof making available for hire no more
than four (4) individual bedrooms and having
two (2) off street parking spaces for the
residence and one (1) off street parking
space for each bedroom for hire."
c. That Paragraph 12-100 be amended by adding
thereto the following:
"(50) Recreation Facility (Private) in the
SF-l, SF-2, SF-3, 2F, MF-1, MF-?., P, and NS
Districts.
(51) Bed and Breakfast Historical Residence
in the 2F and MF-1 districts."
Section 2. Any person violating any of the pro-
visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C"
Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum
not to exceed $1,000.00, and each and every day's continu-
ance of any violation of the above enumerated section shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
