85-070 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING SUBPARAGRAPH (2)(b) OF SECTION 18-53 OF SAID CODE

AN ORDINANCE 0F THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE
AMENDED BY REVISING SUBPARAGRAPH (2)(b) OF SECTION 18-53 OF
SAID CUDE; PROVIDING THAT FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS ALARM
SYSTEMS MAINTENANCE PERSON OR COMPANY SHALL EE RESPONSIBLE
TO THE INSTiTUTION OR TO THE CHIEF OF POLICE WITH THE TOTAL
COST OF SUCH MAINTENANCE BEING BORN BY THE FINANCIAL
INSTITUTION; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIPING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY l,
1986.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Sectior1 1. That Subparagraph (2)(b) of Section
18-53 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. 1$-53. Requirements Peculiar to FinarLcial
Institutions.
(2)
(b) That the person or firm that has
been named as the person responsible for the
maintenance of the financial institutions'
alarm system shalZ, at the expense of the
financial institution, provide service for
the alarm system at the request of the
financial institution or the Chief of Police.
In no event shall the City of Paris become
liable for service charges for repairs and
maintenance of the financial institutions'
alarm system."
Section 2, Any person violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C"
Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum
not to exceed $200.00, and each and every day's continuance
of any violation of the above enumerated section shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ardinance shall become effective on
January l, 1986.
