PROVIDIT3G THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, AMENDEL` BY REVISING ARTICLE I, CHAPTER 12 SECTION 12-1 OF
SAID CQDE; PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE POSITION
OF FIRE MARSHAL - ASSISTAPdT FIRE CHIEF; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 9, 1984.
BE IT QRDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That Article I, Chapter 12 Section 12-1
of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. 12-1. Composition of departmPnt.
The fire department of the City of Paris
shall be composed of the fire chief and fire
marshal - assistant fire chief_ and thir.ty-five
(35) members classiiied as follows:
(1) On.e Assistant Fire Marshal.
(2) One fire training off icer.
(3) Three (3) deputy fire chiefs.
(4) Nine (9) fire engineers.
(5) Six (6) firefighter-drivers.
(6) Fifteen (15) firefighters."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on
?anuary 9, 1984.
