ORDINANCE N0. 84-033
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE
AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION VII, A(13) OF APPENDIX B,
SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS, ORDINANCE N0. 1315 OF SAID CODE;
PROVIDING FOR THE REDUCTION OF THE REQUIRED PAVED WIDTH OF
AN ALLEY FROM 16 FEET TO 12 FEET; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY
NOT TO EXCEED $200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE OF JUNE l, 1984.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That Section VII, A(13) of Appendix B,
Subdivision Regulations, Ordinance No. 1315 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so
that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. VII. General Requirements.
A. STREET ARRANGEMENTS
(13) Alleys. Alleys or loading and unload-
ing courts shall be provided in blocks to be used
for any purpose other than residential. The
minimum right-of-way width for such alleys shall
be thirty (30 feet and shall be paved in their
entirety. Should alleys be platted in residential
areas they shall have a minimum right-of-way width
of twenty (20) feet and paved to a minimum of
twelve (12) feet. Alleys shall be provided where
existing alleys of adjacent subdivisions would be
closed or shut off so as to deny said existing
alleys of separate ingress and egress.
Section 2. Any person violating any of the pro-
visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C"
Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum
not to exceed $200.00, and each and every day's continuance
of any violation of the above enumerated section shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on
June l, 1984.
