84-073 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTIONS 2-66, 12-108 AND 25-24
ORDINANCE N0. 84-073
AN ORDINANCE OF CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING
THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, BE
AMENDED BY REVISING SECTIONS 2-66, 12-108 and 25-24;
PROVIDING THAT A MEMBER OF A RESERVE EMERGENCY ORGANIZATION
SHALL NOT BE A MEMBER OF ANOTHER RESERVE EMERGENCY
ORGANIZATION; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200.00;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER 1,
1984.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That Section 2-66 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so
that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. 2-66. Member not to belong to other reserve
emergency organization.
No member of the EMS reserve shall belong
to any other reserve emergency organization."
Section 2. That Section 12-108 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so
that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. 12-108. Member not to belong to other reserve
emergency organization.
No member of the fire reserve shall belong
to any other reserve emergency organization."
Section 3. That Section 25-24 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so
that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. 25-24. Member not to belong to other reserve
emergency organization
No member of the police reserve shall belong
to any other reserve emergency organization."
Section 4. Any person violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C"
Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum
not to exceed $200.00, and each and every day's continuance
of any violation of the above enumerated section shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 5. All ardinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 6. This ordinance shall become effective on
the lst day of November, 1984.
Passed and adopted this 8th day of October, 1984.
