ORDINANCE N0. 84-074
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE
AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 14-15 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING
FOR THE EXPIRATION OF ALL PERMITS ON THE 31ST DAY OF
DECEMBER EACIi YEAR; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED
$200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF
NOVEMBER 1, 1984.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That Section 14-15 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so
that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. 14-15. Same-Application; issuance; term.
Application for a permit required by section
14-14 shall be made to the director of public
works on forms provided for that purpose. The
director shall issue such permit, if the vehicle
meets the requirements of section 14-14. Such
permit shall be valid through December 31 of the
year issued and thereafter shall be for a period
of one (1) year beginning Ja.nuary 1 and ending
December 31 of each year."
Section 2. Any person violating any of the pro-
visions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C"
Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum
not to exceed $200.00, and each and every day's continuance
of any violation of the above enumerated section shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offense.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of or_dinances in
conflict herewith are her.eby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on
lst day of November, 1984.
