AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODF. OF QRDINANCES, CITY OF FARIS, BE
AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 22-3, SUBPARAGRAPH (b) OF SAID
CQDF; PR.OVIDIDIG FOR EXTEPdDED HOURS OF CONSUMPTION OF ALCO-
HOLIC BEVERAGE; PROVII7IrdG FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED
$200.00; REPEALING ALL ORDINAt1CF.S OR PARTS OF QRDINAYdCES IN
COtvFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF
JANUARY 1, 1985.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CQUNCIL OF THE CT TY OF
PAR.IS:
Section l. That Secti_on 22-3 subparagraph (b) of
the Code of Ordinances o£ the City of Paris, Pa.ris, Texas,
be amended so that such shall read as follows:
"Sec. 2k-3. Consumpr_ion on public property, en
private pr.operry commonlv used by the public, and
in private clubs.
(b) It shall be unlawful for a.ny person to
consume or possess with intent to consume an
alcoholic bever_age in a public place wi.thin
the corporate limits of the City of Paris on
Sundav between the hcurs of 2:15 A.M. and
12:OOynoon and on 5aturday between 2:15 A.M.
and 7:00 A.M. and on Pdew Year's Day, when it
falls on a day other than Sun.day or Saturday,
between 2:15 A.M. and 7:00 A.M. and on any
other day betweer. 12:15 A.M. and 7:00 A.M."
Section Any person violatir.g any of the pro-
visions of this ordirance shall be guiltv of a Class "C"
Mi_sdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in ar_y sum
not to exceed $200.00, and each and every day's continuance
of any violation of the above enumerated section shall
constitute and be deemed a separate offer.se.
Section 3. All or_dinarces or parts of ordinan.ces in
conf_lict herewith are her.eby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinan.ce shall become effective on
January 1, 1985.
