AN ORDINANCE F.STABLISHING A ZO MILE PER HOUR SPEED
LIMIT ON CER.TAIN PORTIONS OF STONE AVENUE; PROVIDING FOR A
FINE NOT TO F.XCEED $200.00; REPEAI.ING ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDIr?ANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 1, 1985.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That a. speed limit of 30 miles per hour
shall be established on those portions of the street herein-
after described, other than between the hours of_ 7:45 A.M.
to 8:30 A.M. and 3:20 P.M. and 4:00 P.rI., which will be
brought to the attention of motorists by means of signs, at
which time a speed limit of 20 miles per hour shall be in
effect:
"StonP Avenue from the east curb line of North
Main Street, east to the east curb linP of Lewis
Lar_e. "
Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions
of this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C"
Misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum
not to exceed $200.00.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on
January l, 1985.
