AN ORDIPdANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES
ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING N'~AP OF SAID C?TY; ESTABLISHING A
OFFICE DISTRICT (O) OrJ PART OF LOTS 8 AND 9, BLOCK 4, FELT,
FORT AND VARNEk ADDITION, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO ST
JOSEPH'S HOSPITAL, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY
FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A TWO FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (2F);
AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE OFFICE DISTRICT (O) SO
ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established
by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed,
and that a OFFICE DISTRICT (U) , be, and the same is hereby
established on part of Lots 8 and 9, Block 4, Felt, Fort and
Varner Addition, on property belonging to St Joseph's
Hospital, so as to include in such OFFICE DISTRICT (O) the
hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is
presently designated as a TWO FAMILY DWEI,LING DISTRICT (2F),
and that the boundaries of said OFFICE DISTRICT (O), be, and
the same are hereby established as follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the
City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of
Texas, and being described as follows, to-wit:
Being a part of the Larkin Rattan Survey, and
being a part of Lot No 9 and a part of Lot No. 8
in Block No 4 of the Fort-Felts and Varner Addition
to the City of Paris, Texas, according to the plat
of said addition of record in Book 77, Page 404,
of Lamar County Deed Records and described as
follows:
BEGINNING at the NW corner or a tract deeded
to W. C. Howerton and wi 'ie, by H. W. Sparks aiid
wife, dated September 30, 1946, of record in Book
293, Page 273 of the Deed Records of Lamar County,
Texas and being the SW corner of the lot conveyed
by J. M. Lamb to R. M. Mitchell;
THENCE South with the EB line of lOth Street
SE (formerly South Bennett Street), 75 feet to the
NW corner of a lot conveyed by W. C. Howerton and
wife, to Chalmas L. Carter and wife, by deed dated
December 28, 1948, of record in Book 309, Page
607, Lamar County Deed Records;
THENCE East with the NB line of the Howerton
to Carter lot 190 feet, a stake;
THENCE North 75 feet more or less to the NE
corner of the Sparks ta Howerton lot;
THENCE West with the NB line of the Sparks to
Howerton lot 190 feet more or less to the place of
beginning.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development
of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to
change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance
with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use
map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions nf this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris, in regular session convened, in the Council Room,
City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 14th day of February,
1983.
