AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES
ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A
PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS DISTRICT (PLI) ON PART OF LOT
22, CITY BLOCK 309, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE STATE
DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION, SO AS TO
INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN AGRICUL-
TURAL DISTRICT (A); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS DISTRICT (PLI) SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TFiE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established
by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed,
and that a PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS DISTRICT (PLI), be,
and the same is hereby established on part of Lat 22, City
Block 309, on property belonging to the State Department of
Highways and Public Transportation, so as to include in such
PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS DISTRICT (PLI) the hereinafter
described property, which was formerly and is presently
designated as an AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A), arid that the
boundaries of said PUBLIC LANDS AND INSTITUTIONS DISTRICT
(PLI), be, and the same are hereby established as follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the
City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of
Texas, and being a part of a 25.432 acre tract of
land, situated in the Isaac Cruise Survey, Abst.
No. 162, conveyed by Earnest Randle and wife,
Myrtie Randle to Russell Gifford, V.A. Gifford,
and O. C. Gantt by deed dated the 4th day of
August, 1966, and recorded in Volume 446, Page
481, of Deed Records of Lamar County, Texas;
BEGINNING at a point, said point being in the
existing west boundary line of said 25.432 acre
tract, said point being in the existing east
right-of-way line of existing Loop 286, said point
being N 74°09' E a distance of 141.3 feet from
survey line station 151+72.0 of said Loop 286,
said point being N 44°30' W a distance of 488.4
feet, thence with a curve to the right with a
radius of 3682.72 feet, a distance of 911.8 feet
from the existing most southerly southeast corner
of said 25.432 acre tract, said point also being
in a curve to the right whose radius is 2680.72
feet and whose tangent at this point bears N
30°17' W; said point also being in the north
boundary line of a Lone Star Gas Company easement;
THENCE in a northerly direction with said
existing east right-of-way line and said existing
west boundary line of said 25.432 acre tract a
distance of 368.7 feet, a point, said point being
in said curve whose tangent bears n 24° 33' W;
THENCE N 17°50' E continuing along said
existing east right-of-way line and said existing
west boundary line of said 25.432 acre tract a
distance of 138.3 feet, a point;
THENCE N 12057' W continuing along said
existing east right-of-way line and said existing
west boundary line of said 25.432 acre tract a
distance of 31.9 feet, a point, said point being
the existitig most northerly northwest corner of said
25.432 acre tract, said point being in the existing
south boundary line of the old Bonham Road, same being
the existing North baundary line of said 25.432 acre
tract; said point being PJ 76° 42' E a distance of 240.0
feet, S 12° 57' E a distance of 18.1 feet from survey
line station 146+25.7 of said existing Loop 286;
THENCE N 76°42' East along said Gifford-Old
Bonham Road common boundary line a distance of
987.9 teet, a point;
Z'HENCE N 86001' E continuing along said
Gifford-Old Bonham Road common boundary line a
distance cf 37.6 feet, a point, said point being
the existing most easterly northeast corner of
said 25.432 acre tract, said point being in the
existing east boundary line of the Isaac Cruise
survey, same being the west boundary line of the
Asa Jarman Survey;
THENCE S 1005' E along said Gifford east
boundary line, and said common boundary line
between Isaac Cruise and Asa Jarman Surveys a
distance of 472.0 feet, a point, said point being
in the existing north boundary line of said Lone
Star Gas Company easement;
THENCE S 741 09' W along said north boundary
line of said Lone Star Gas Company easement a
distance of 907.8 feet to the place of beginning
and containing 11.245 acres of land, more or less.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development
of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to
change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance
with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use
map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris, in regular session convened, in the Council Room,
City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 14th day of February,
1983.
