ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES
ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CI'1'Y; ESTABLISHING A
PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT - SHOPPING CENTER (PD a) ON
LOTS 15, 16, 17 AND 18, CITY BLOCK 296, ON PROPERTY
BELONGING TO JOHN HUTCHINGS, CHARLIE ADKINS, JOHN MILES AND
BOB MCCARLEY, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY
DESIGNATED AS AN OFFICE DISTRICT (0) AND ONE FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2); AND DE5IGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT ° SHOPPING CENTER (PD a) SO
ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established
by the Zaning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of
Paris, PariS, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed,
and that a PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT - SHOPPING CENTER
(PD a), be, and the same is hereby established on Lots 15,
16, 17, and 18, City Block 296, on property belonging to
John Hutchings, Charlie Adkins, John Miles and Bob McCarley,
so as to include in such PLANNED DFVELOPMENT DISTRICT -
SHOPPING CENTER (PD a) the hereinafter described property,
which was formerly and is presently designated as a OFFICE
DISTRICT (O) AND ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2),
and that the boundaries of said PI.ANNED DEVELOPNIENT DISTRICT
- SHOPPING CENTER (PD a), be, and the same are hereby
established as follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the
City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of
Texas, and being a part of the Joseph Leach Survey
and a part of a 5.48 acre tract of land conveyed
by G. E. Griffis to C. W. Cothran by deed of
record in Book 334, Page 295, Lamar County Deed
Records and more particularly described as
follows:
BEGINNING at the Northwest corner of said
Griffis tract;
THENCE South with its west boundary line, 314
feet to a point in the North boundary line of
Lamar Ave;
THENCE in a Northeasterly direction with the
North boundary line of Lamar Avenue, 550 feet to a
point;
THENCE North, 2'63.5 feet to a point in the
North line of said 5.48 acre tract;
THENCE West, 544.25 feet to the place of
beginning.
Section 2. That the zoning herein granted is
conditioned upon the submission of a Site Plan in accordance
with Section 8-302 of Ordinance No. 1710, which after full
compliance with the procedure established in Section 21 of
said Ordinance No. 1710, must be approved by the City
Council prior to the issuance of any building permits.
Section 3. That the Director of Community Development
of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to
change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance
with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use
map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris, in regular session convened, in the Council Room,
City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 14th day of February,
1583.
