AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINAPdCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE
AMENDED BY ADDING SECTION 2-3, PROVIDING FOR THE CITY'S
FISCAL YEAR TO BEGIN OCTOBER 1, AND END SEPTEMBER 30; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN INTERIM FISCAL YEAR TO BEGIN JULY 1, 1983,
AND END SEPTEMBER 30, 1983; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR
PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR
ATI EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 11, 1983.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Paris be amended by adding a section to be numbered 2-3,
to read as follows:
"Section 2-3. Fiscal Year.
The fiscal year of the City of Paris begin-
ning with the budget year 1983-84, shall begin
October l, and shall end September 30. This
section amends Section 44 of the Charter of the
City of Paris and is an exercise of authority
granted ir_ Section 1.05 of the Property Tax Code
of the State of Texas."
Section 2. The establishr.ient of the new fiscal year
shall be noted in Section 44 of the Charter of the City of
Paris.
Section 3. An interir_i budget perzod is hereby
established beginning July l, 1983, and ending Septetnber 30,
1983.
Section 4. All ordinances of parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective on
April 11, 1983.
