AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES
ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A
PLANNED DEVELOPMENT SHOPPING CENTER (PD-a) ON LOT 6, CITY
BLOCK 286 LOT 7, CITY BLOCK 286, AND LOT 1-A, CITY BLOCR
287, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO FRED DRAKE, JOE EARLY AND R.
V. FREE, RESPECTIVELY, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY
FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT N0. 2
(SF-2); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE PLANNED
DEVELOPMENT SHOPPING CENTER (PD-a) 50 ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established
by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed,
and that a PLANNED DEVELOPMENT SHOPPING CENTER (PD-a), be,
and the same is hereby established on LOT 6, CITY BLOCK 286
LOT 7, CITY BLOCK 286, AND LOT 1-A, CITY BLOCK 287, on
property belonging to FRED DRAKE, JOE EARLY AND R. V. FREE,
RESPECTIVELY, so as to include in such PLANNED DEVELOPMENT
SHOPPING CENTER (PD-a) the hereinafter described property,
which was formerly and is presently designated as a ONE
FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2), and that the bound-
aries of said PLANNED DEVELOPMENT SHOPPING CENTER (PD-a),
be, and the same are hereby established as follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the
City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of
Texas, and being further described as follows:
TRACT 1: BEGINNING at a point in the North
boundary line of Lamar Ave, said point being the
Southeast corner of Lot 7, City Block 286 and
being 100 feet West of the West boundary line of
30th N.E.;
THENCE Westerly along the North boundary line
of Lamar Avenue, a distance of 184 feet to the
Southwest corner of Lot 6, City Block 286;
THENCE Northerly with the West line of said
Lot 6, City Block 286, a distance of 399 feet to
its Northwest corner;
THENCE Easterly with the North line of said
Lot 6, City Block 286, a distance of 74 feet to
its Northeast corner;
THENCE Southerly with the East line of said
Lot 6, City Block 286, a distance of 231 feet to
the Northwest corner of Lot 7, City Block 286;
THENCE Easterly with the North line of said
Lot 7, City Block 286, a distance of 110 feet to
its Northeast corner;
THENCE Southerly with the East line of said
Lot 7, City Block 286, a distance of 168 feet to
the place of beginning.
TRACT 2: BEGINNING at a point in the South
boundary line of Lamar Avenue said point being the
Northwest corner of Lot 1-A, City Block 287 said
point also being N 601 40' E, 143.2 feet and N 87°
20' E, 55.3 feet from the East boundary line of
33rd S. E.;
THENCE N 87° 20' E along the South boundary
line of Lamar Avenue, a distance of 150 feet to
the Northeast corner of said Lot 1-A;
THENCE South, a distance of 268 feet to the
Southeast corner of said Lot 1-A;
THENCE West, a distance of 150 feet to the
Scuthwest corner of said Lot 1-A;
THENCE North, a distance of 259.5 feet to the
place of beginning.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development
of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to
change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance
with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use
map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. Al1 ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris, in regular session convened, in the Council Room,
City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 13th day of June, 1983.
