AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDIIIANCE N0. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES
ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A
ONE FANiILY DWELLING DISTRICT N0. 2(SF-2) ON A 9.55 ACRE
TRACT OF LAND LOCATED ON THE EAST S IDE OF 3RD S. E. STREET
APPROXIMATELY 600 FEET NORTH OF LOOP 286 S. E., ON PRUPERTY
BELONGING TO LOYD G. MELVIN, SO AS TO iNCLUDE THEREIPI
TERRITORY FGRMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT
(A); AivD DESIGNATItdG THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ONE FAMILY
DWELLING DISTRICT N0. 2(SF-2) SO ESTABLiSHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established
by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed,
and that a OPdE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT N0. 2(SF-2), be,
and the same is hereby estabiished on A 9.55 ACRE TRACT OF
LAND LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF 3RD S. E. STREET APPROXI-
r7ATELY 600 FEET NORTH OF LOOP 286 S. E., on property
belonging to LOYD G. MELVIN, so as to include in such ONE
FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT 140. 2(SF-2) the hereinafter
described property, which was formerly and is presently
designated as an AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A), and that the
bour.daries of said ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT N0. 2
(SF-2), be, and the same are hereby established as follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the
City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of
Texas, and being a part of the Larkin Rattan
Survey, and also being a part of 13.25 acre tract
conveyed to Loyd Melvin by Elmer Hadaway by deed
dated rlarch 18, 1983, and recorded in Vol. 655,
Page 158, of the Deed Records of Lamar County,
^texas, described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin for a corner in the
Southwest corner of said 13.25 acre tract, said
point also being in the East right of way line of
FM 1497;
THENCE North 1° 35' West a distance of 250'
along the East right of way lire of said Highway
1497 to an iron pin for a corner;
THENCE North 89° 02`30" East a distance of
1,1$8' to an iron pin for a corner in the West
boundary line of 6th S. E.
THENCE South 1°35' East a distance of 35'
along the West boundary line of 6th S. E. to an
iron pin for a corner;
THENCE South 89°02' 30' West a distance of
1,188' to the place of beginning and containing
9.55 acres of land, more or less.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development
of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to
change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance
with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use
map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. Al1 ardinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective
imr.iediately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris, in regular session convened, in the Council Room,
City Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the 12th day of December,
1983.
