AIQ ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 1710 OF
THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDA-
RIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISH-
ING A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT N0. 2(SF-2) ON LOT 13,
CITY BLOCK 309 AND LOT 10, CITY BLOCK 154-A, ON PROPERTY
BELONGING TO FRED BLASSINGAME AND JOHN CUNNINGHAM, SO AS TO
INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITOR.Y FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A HEAVY
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (HI); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES
OF THE ONE-FAI"IILY D14ELLING DISTRICT N0, 2(SF-2) SO ESTAB-
LISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established
by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that
a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2), be, and the same
is hereby established on Lot 13, City Block 309 and Lot 10,
City Block 154-A, on property belonging to Fred Blassingame
and Joh-n Cunningham, so as to include in such One-Family
Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2) the hereinafter described pro-
perty, which was formerly and is presently designated as a
Heavy Industrial District (IiI), and that the boundaries of
said One-Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2), be, and the
same are hereby established as follows:
TR.ACT I: Situated about 14 miles S. 45 Deg. W.
of the Court House, Paris, Lamar County, Texas, a
part of the Asa Jarman Survey, also being a part of
a tract of land conveyed Henry Simmons from Naomi
Davis, by deed dated March 31, 1950, and recorded in
Book 314, Page 191, Lamar County Deed Records;
BEGINNING a stake in the W.B,L. of FM Road No.
137, at the present N,E.C, of the aforesaid tract;
THET3CE South 1 Deg. W. with the W.B.L. of FM
Road No. 137 (19th St. S.W.) 216 ft. to the most
Eastern N.E.C, of the Babcock-Wilcox Tract;
THENCE with B& W's N.B.L. West 243 feet;
THENCE continuing with B& W's E.B.L. North
7 Deg. 30 Min. W. 217 feet, (Waterman's S.B,L.);
THENCE East 27~ feet to the place of beginning,
containing 1.28 acres of land.
LESS 0.109 acres of land, more or less, conveyed
to the Texas Highway Department for Highway purposes,
dated December 21, 1971, of record in Book 532, Page
253, Lamar County Deed Records.
Being the same property as described in Deed from
Tommy L. Duff et ux to Williarn H. Mullins et ux, dated
March 8, 1972, of record in Book 534, Page 108, Lamar
County Deed Records,
TRACT II: Being a part of the Asa Jarman Survey,
situate about 14 miles SW of the Courthouse, Paris,
Lamar County, Texas, also being a part of a tract of
land designated as 10 acres in conveyance to L. H.
Travis et ux from Myrtle M. Smith and husband, Frank
M. Smith, be deed dated February 2, 1910, and recorded
in Book 132, Page 71, Lamar County Deed Records;
BEGINPJING at the present SWC of the aforesaid 10
acre tract a stake in the EBL of 19th St. SW (Greenville
Road), FM Road No. 137, same being the Western NWC of
a tract of Harold Reeder;
THENCE East 424 feet, a fence corner;
THENCE North 204 feet, a fence corner;
THENCE N. 89 Deg. 58 Min. W. 430 feet to a
point 30 feet East of the Center of FM Road No. 137;
THENCE along the EBL of said road, S. 1 Deg.
40 Min. E. 207 feet to the place of beginning, con-
taining 2.01 acres of land.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development
of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change
tne Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the
provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map ac-
companying the same, and in accordance with the provisions
of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris in regular session convened in the Council Room, City
Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the llth day of January, 1982.
