AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS,
BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 24-1, SUBPARAGRAPH (9),
FOR THE PURPOSE OF INCREASING PLUMBING PERMIT FEES;
PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY NOT TO EXCEED $200. 00; REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF
JULY l, 1980.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That Section 24-1(9) of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended, so that such shall read
as follows:
"(9) Paragraph 9. 2. 2 shall be changed to read as follows:
' 9. 2. 2 Table of Fees :
For issuing each permit $2. 00
In addition:
For each plumbing fixture or trap or set of
fixtures of one trap (including water and
drainage piping) $1.50
For each house sewer $2. 00
For each house sewer having to be replaced
or repaired $2.00
For each water heater and/or vent $2.00
For each gas piping system of 1 to 5 outlets $3. 00
For each gas piping system of 6 or more,
per outlet $0.50
For installation of water piping for water
treating equipment $2.00
Lawn sprinkler system inspection for five
(5) sprinkler heads or less $2.00
Each additional sprinkler head over five $0. 25
For re -inspection $10. 00
That the above table of fees shall apply in the event
that application for permit is made prior to the beginning
of any plumbing work requiring a permit. That in the
event any plumbing work requiring a permit is commenced
without having procured a permit, as provided herein,
then there shall be a fee, in addition to the above table of
fees, of $20. 00 per day for each day delayed in procuring
said permit. ' "
Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this
ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon
conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200. 00.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on July l,
1980.
