DIRECTING PUBLICATION OE NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ISSUE :
CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION

WHEREAS, the City Council finds that an improvement program
is urgently needed for improvements and extensions to the City's
Sewer System; and
WHEREAS, the City deems it advisable to give notice oz
intention to issue certificates of obligation in the amount of
$050,000 to pay all or a portion of the City's contractual
obligations for improvements and extensions to the City's Sewer
System, to-wit: to provide $115,000 to purchase 1and, rignts of
way and easements, to provide $520,000 to pay professional
services for engineering studies, reports and plans, and to
provide $15,000 to pay legal and fiscal fees in connection with
this project; and
WHEREAS, it is hereby officially found and determined that a
case of emergency or urgent public necessity exists which requires
' the holding of tne meeting at which this Ordinance is passad, such
emergency or urgent public necessity being that the notice of
intention to issue certificates of obligation should be published
as soon as possible and without delay for necessary and urgently
needed public improvements; and that said meeting was open to the
public and public notice of the time, place, and purpose of said
meeting was given, all as required by Art. 6252-17, V.A.T.C.S.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY CCUNCIL OF THE CITY OF °ARIS:
1. That attached hereto is a form of the Notice of Intention
to issue Certificates of Obligation, the form and substance of
which is hereby adopted and approved.
2. That the City Clerk shall cause said notice to be
published in substantially the form attached hereto, in a
newspaper of general circulation in said City, and oublisheci in
sa;d City, on the same day in each of two consecutive weeks, the
date of the first publication thereof to be at least 14 days prior
t'-o the time set for the issuance of such certificates of
obligation as shown in said notice.
;s. That this Ordinance shali take effect immediately upon
its passuge.

NOTICE OF INTErdTION TO ISSUE CERTIFICATES OE' OBLIGATION
The City of °aris does hereby give notice of intention to
issue Certificates of Obligation, Series 1981, in the maximum
prir.cipal amount not to exceed $650, 000 to pay all or a portion of
the City's contractual obligations for improvements and
extensions to the City's Sewer System, to-wit: to provide $115,000
ta purchase 1and, rights af way and easements, to provide $520, 000
to pay professicnal services for engineering studies, reports and
plans, and to provide $15,000 to pay legal and fiscal fees in
connection with this project. The City proposes te provide for
the payment of such Certificates of Obligation from the levy and
collection of ad v-.lorem taxes in the City as provided by law, and
from the revenues of the City' s Waterworks and Sewer System, after
payment of all operation anci maintenance expenses thereo`., and a11
debt service, reserve, and other requirements in connection with
all of the City's revenue bonds (now or hereatter outstanding)
whzch are payable from a11 or any part of the Net Revenues of the
City's Waterworks and Sewer System. The City Council proposes to
authorize the issuance af such Certificates of Obligation, Series
1981, at 7:00 P.M. , on March 9, 1981, at a Regular Meeting, at the
City Hall, ParXS, Texas.
