ORDINANCE N0. 2568
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PRO-
VIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDITIANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE
AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 12-23 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING
FOR THE INCREASE OF REWAlZD FOR ARREST AND CONVICTION OF
ARSONIST TO ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00); AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF APRIL 13, 1981.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That Section 12-23 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Paris be amended so that such shall read as
follows:
"Sec. 12-23. Reward for Arrest and Conviction of
Arsonist.
The city hereby offers a reward of one
thousand dollars ($1,000.00) to any person
supplyino information or evidence which re-
sults in the arrest and conviction of any
person found guilty of committing the
offense of arson within the corporate linits
of the city. This reward is a standing offer,
and shall be paid out of the general fund of
the city."
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective on
April 13, 1981.
