2443 ORD APPOINTING THREE MEMBERS TO EQUALIZATION BOARD FOR COP
ORDINANCE NO. 2443 ,
AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING THREE MEMBERS TO THE
EQUALIZATION BOARD OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
TO SERVE FOR THE CURRENZ' TAXABLE YEAR, ESTABLISHING
THE TIME FOR THE FIRST MEETING OF THE EQUALIZATION
BOARD, ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF PAY FOR THE MEMBERS
OF SAID BOARD, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PA RIS:
Section 1. That Ben Marable, Joe King and Dee Cunningham,
all residents of the City of Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and quali-
fied voters and real property owners in said City, be, and they are
hereby appointed as the Board of Equalization of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, for the current taxable year.
Section 2. That the time of the meeting of said Equalization
Board is hereby fixed for the 4th day of June, 1979.
Section 3. The regular place of ineeting of and for the
Equalization Board is hereby fixed and established as Conference
Room, First Floor City Hall, in the City of Paris, Texas.
Section 4. The rate of pay for each such appointed member
of said Equalization Board for the current taxable year is hereby
established at the rate of Fifty ($50. 00) Dollars per day, and the
City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to make payment
out of the City funds to such members at such rate of pay of FiEty
650. 00) Dollars per day.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon passage.
