2459 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING ARTICLE IV TO CHAPTER 2
ORDINANCE N0. 2459
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARISr TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS BE AMENDED BY REVISING ARTICLE IV TO CHAPTER 2,
PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHr1ENT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EMERGENCY
MEDICAL SERVICE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF
JULY 9, 1979.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That Article IV of Chapter 2 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so
that such shall read as follows:
"ARTICLE IV. EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE.
Sec. 2-49. Department Created.
There is hereby created in accordance with
Section 25 of the Charter of the City of Paris the
Department of Emergency Medical Service, whose head
shall be known as the Director of Emergency Medical
Service.
Sec. 2-50. Purpose.
The purpose of the Department of Emergency
Medical Service shall be to provide emergency
ambulance service, transfer ambulance service and
other health services to the citizens of the City
of Paris.
Sec. 2-51 - 2-61. Reserved."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on
July 9, 1979.
