AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 1710 OF
THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES
ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING I7AP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A
NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) AND A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT,
ANTIQUE SHOP (4), ON PARTS OF LOTS 2 AND 3, CITY BLOCK 248B,
AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF CLARKSVILLE STREET AND 20TH STREET,
S.E., ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO LOWRY CARRINGTON, SO AS TO IN-
CLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN OFFICE
DISTRICT (0); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE NEIGHBOR-
HOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) AND SPECIFIC USE PERMIT, ANTIQUE
SHOP (4), SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established
by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of P aris,
Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a
Neighborhood Service District (NS) and a Specific Use Permit,
Antique Shop (4), be, and the same is hereby established and
described as follows: Parts of Lots 2 and 3, City Block 248B,
at the Southwest corner of Clarksville Street and 20th Street
S.E., on property belonging to Lowry Carrington, so as to in-
clude in such Neighborhood Service District (NS) and Specific
Use Permit, Antique Shop (4), the hereinafter described pro-
perty, which was formerly and is presently designated as an
Office District (0), and that the boundaries of the said
Neighborhood Service District (NS) and Specific Use Permit,
Antique Shop (4), be, and the same are hereby established as
follows:
Situated in Lamar County, State of Texas, a part
of the George W. Cox Survey, being in City Block 248B,
Paris, Lamar County, Texas.
BEGINNING at the N.E. Corner of a tract of land
described in Deed to Mrs. Alice Cross from C.W. Cothran
and wife, dated April 1, 1940, recorded in Book 251,
Page 309, Lamar County Deed Records;
THENCE in a Southeasterly direction with the SB
line of Clarksville Street, 145.5 feet a stake, the
W.B. line of 20th Street, S. E.;
THENCE South with the WB line of 20th Street S.E.,
133 feet, a stake, the N. E. Corner of lot once owned
by Lida Mae Parker;
THENCE GTest with fence line 198 feet, a fence
corner, being the N. W. corner of said Parker lot;
THENCE North 20 feet, a fence corner, the S. W.
corner of a lot once owned by R. V. Free;
THENCE East with fence line 87.3 feet the S. E.
corner of said Free lot;
THENCE North 190 feet to the place of beginning.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development of
the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change the
Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions
of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same,
and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris in regular session convened in the Council Room, City
Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the lOth day of December, 1979.
