AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0, 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARTS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES ESTAB-
LISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISHING A CODIMERCIAL
DISTRICT (C) ON A PART OF LOT 3, CITY BLOCK 266, ON PROPERTY
BELONGING TO 31 PROPERTIES, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY
FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT No. 3
(SF-3); AND DESTGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT
(C) SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by
the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a Commercial
District (C), be, and the same is hereby established on a part of
Lot 3, City Block 266, on property belonging to 31 Properties, so
as to include in such Commercial District (C) the hereinafter de-
scribed property, which was formerly and is presently designated
as a One-Family Dwelling District No. 3(SF-3), and that the
boundaries of said Commercial District (C), be, and the same are
hereby established as follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the City of
Paris, Lamar County, Texas; being a part of the Redding
Russell Survey, Abstraet No. 786; also being a part of a
45.32 acre tract described as Second Tract in a Deed from
William T. Murphy to Patti Bess Murphy, dated June 27, 1979,
recorded in Volume 615, Page 286, Lamar County Deed Records;
said tract being more particularly described as follows,
TO-WIT:
BEGINNING at a steel rod set for a corner, said point
being in the South Boundary line of Loop 286 N.E. and being
North 67 degrees 32 minutes West, 123.0 feet and North 62
degrees 46 minutes ~7est, 221.2 feet from the present North-
east corner of the 45.32 acre tract previously mentioned,
measured along the present South boundary line of Loop 286
N. E.; said point also being in the centerline of a 60-ft.
wide drainage easement recorded in Volume 361, Page 566,
Lamar County Deed Records;
THENCE South 29 degrees 28 minutes tiaest, 300.0 feet
along the centerline of said drainage easement to a steel
rod set for a corner;
THENCE North 60 degrees 32 minutes West, 250.0 feet
to a steel rod set for a corner;
THENCE North 29 degrees 28 minutes East, 296.1 feet to
a steel rod set for a corner, said point being in the South
boundary line of Loop 286 N.E.;
THENCE along the South boundary line of said Loop 286
N. E. on the following calls: South 57 degrees 09 minutes
East, 60.0 feet; South 62 degrees 46 minutes East, 190.3
feet to the place of beginning containing 1.70 acres of land,
more or less.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development of the
City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning
Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and
in accordance with the nrovisions of this ordinance.
Section 3, All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris
in regular session convened in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris,
Texas, on this the llth day of February, 1980.
