AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2(a)1 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 1891; EST-ABLISHING THE SPEED LIMITS ON A CERTAIN POR-
TION OF F. M. 79, DESIGNATED 19TH STREET, N. W., FROM
ITS INTERSECTION WITH BONHAM STREET IN A NORTHERLY DI-
RECTION 0. 619 MILES; PROVIDING FOR A FINE NOT TO EXCEED
$200. 00; REPEALING ALL ORBINANCES QR PARTS OF ORDI-
NANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE OF MAY l, 1977.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS:
Section l. That Section 2(a)1 of Ordinance No. 1891 be
amended so that the same shall read as follows:
"l. From Bonham Street, North 0. 619 miles to a point
immediately North of Campbell Street's intersection, a speed
limit of 35 miles per hour at all times, other than when the
school children are actually crossing the highway, which will be
brought to the attention of the motorists by means of signs, and
then only between Mile Post 22. 054 and Mile Post 22. 254, at which
time a speed limit of 20 miles per hour shall be in effect, as
shown by strip map prepared by the Texas Highway Department
attached hereto."
Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and
upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200. 00.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on
May 1, 1977.
