Dr. Richard Swint - Service provided by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and potential problems with deregulation of electric service. 16. Consideration of and action on the following ordinances: Adopting on third and final reading a franchise agreement with Steve B. Raney and Wendy L. Raney, d.b.a. Yellow Cab Company to use the public streets, alleys, and highways of the city of Paris for the purpose of transporting passengers for hire in motor vehicles. Adopting on third and final reading a franchise agreement with Dennis Nelms, d.b.a. City Cab, to use the public streets, alleys, and highways of the city of Paris for the purpose of transporting passengers for hire in motor vehicles. 17. Consideration of and action on the following resolutions: Endorsing the cooperative application of various visitors groups to update and revitalize the Lakes Trail Region under the Texas Travel Trails Regional Program offered through the Texas Historical Commission. FJ Page 4 Accepting the Violent Crimes Against Women Unit grant in the amount of $78,594.00 and approving and authorizing the execution of the Grantee Acceptance Notice. Approving and authorizing the execution of a contract between the City of Paris and Family Haven Crisis and Resource Center, Inc., to provide services under a Criminal Justice Division Grant to the City of Paris to prevent and prosecute violent crime against women. Approving and authorizing a Letter of Agreement by and between the City of Paris and the Texas Historical Commission to qualify the City for eligibility to participate in the Main Street Graduate City Program. Approving the plans and specifications and authorizing the taking of bids for the 2001 Street Overlay Program. Approving and authorizing a Letter of Consent by and between the City of Paris and Meridian Alliance Group, LLC, and Client of said group, for the siting of a ground water monitoring well in the right-of-way of 7th Street S.W. Authorizing the procurement of easements for the Southeast Waterline Replacement Project No. 18-0340-83-50. Approving the sale of tax delinquent property located at Lot 6, Block 14, Gibbons and Braden Addition, being number 1254 17th Street S.E., and authorizing the execution of a tax resale deed for said property. Authorizing an application for a supplemental grant to the Texas Automobile Theft Prevention Authority in the amount of $69,000.00 with no match required. Approving Change Order No. Two to contract for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive Extension from 6th Street N.E. west to N. Main Street. Approving a new policy regarding inspection of and the installation of curb, gutter, and driveway culverts.
