ESOLUTIONS\CURRENT~tMAC Street Overlay Bid 2001 <br /> June 1, 2001 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF THE 2001 CITY STREET HMAC OVERLAY <br />PROGRAM, PROJECT NO. 46.53; AUTHORIZING THE ADVERTISEMENT <br />FOR BIDS FOR SAID CONSTRUCTION; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS <br />AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, plans and specifications for a City street overlay project, to be funded from the <br />Combination Tax and Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 2000, have been prepared by the <br />City Engineer, with the title being given thereto of the "2001 City Street HMAC Overlay Program, <br />Project No. 46.53," which plans and specifications are recommended for approval by the Acting City <br />Engineer; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that such plans and specifications be approved and said <br />project be authorized for advertisement for bids; NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all things <br />approved. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the plans and specifications for the "2001 City Street HMAC Overlay <br />Program, Project No. 46.53," to be funded from the Combination Tax and Revenue Certificates of <br />Obligation, Series 2000, be, and the same are hereby, approved. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That said construction project be advertised for bids to be received after due <br />notice at the office of the City Manager of the City of Paris, City Hall, 135 1st Street S.E., Paris, <br />Texas 75460, until 3:00 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday, July 4, 2001, at which time said bids will be <br />opened in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 135 1 st Street S.E., Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and <br />bids will be tabulated and presented to the City Council on the 9th day of July, 2001, for the purpose <br />of letting such bid. <br /> <br />Section 4. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of passage. <br /> <br /> <br />
