AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING 40 MILE PER HOUR SPEED
LIMIT ON WEST CENTER STREET, FROM lOTH STREET, N. W.,
WEST TO 19TH STREET, N. W. ; PROVIDING FOR A FINE NOT TO
EXCEED $200. 00; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINA NCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE OF JUNE 1, 1978.
BE IT ORDA INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That a speed limit of 40 miles per hour shall be
in effect on West Center Street, between the West Boundary Line of
lOth Street, N. W. 's intersection with said West Center Street and
the East Boundary Line of 19th Street, N. W. , which will be brought
to the attention of motorists by means of signs.
Section 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this
ordinance shall be guilty of a Class "C" Misdemeanor, and upon
conviction shall be fined in any sum not to exceed $200. 00.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective on June l,
1978.
