AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710
OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE
BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY;
ESTABLISHING AN OFFICE DISTRICT (O) ON LOT 2, CITY BLOCK
182A, AND LOT 2, BLOCK B, FINN PLACE, ON PROPERTY BE-
LONGING TO McCLANAHAN AND HOLMES, SO AS TO INCLUDE
THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A MULTIPLE
FAMILY DWELLINQ DISTRICT NO. 1(MF-1); AND DESIGNATING
THE BOUNDARIES OF THE OFFICE DISTRICT (O) SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDA INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PA R IS :
Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established by the
Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that an Office
District (O), be, and the same is hereby established on Lot 2, City
Block 182A, and Lot 2, Block B, Finn Place, on property belonging to
McClanahan and Holmes, so as to include in such Office District (O),
the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is pre-
sently designated as an Office District (O), and that the boundaries
of said Office District (O), be, and the same are hereby established
as follows:
FIRST TRACT: Situated in Lamar County, Texas,
being a part of the Larkin Rattan Survey, on the West side
of South 25th Street (now 5th Street, S. E. in the City of
Paris, Texas;
BEGINNING at the NE corner of a lot owned by W. G.
Freese, which is 75 feet North of the intersection of 25th
and Austin Street;
THENCE North with the WB line of Birmingham
Street (25 th) 50 feet;
THENCE West 186 feet to a stake in the NB line of
the Freese lot;
THENCE South 50 feet to a stake in the NB line of
the Freese lot;
THENCE East with the NB line of the Freese lot
186 feet to the place of beginning.
Being the same property conveyed by Alfred F. Page
and wife, Eda R. Page to W. G. Freese on December 27,
1922, as shown in Deed Book 200, Page 288, Lamar County
Deed Records, also being the same property as Lot 2,
Block 182A of the City of Paris, Texas, at 216 Sixth
Street, S. E.
SECOND TRACT: Situated in Lamar County, Texas,
a lot lying immediately West of and adjoining First Tract
above, being approximately 78. 9 x 100 ft. described as
Lot 2, Block "B", Finn Place Addition to the City of Paris,
Texas, at 221 Fifth Street, S. E.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development of
the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change the
Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions
of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the
same, and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris
in regular session convened in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris,
Texas, on this the 12th day of June, 1978.
