2392 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 25-1 OF SAID CODEORDINANCE NO. 2392 .
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 25-1 OF
SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE COMPOSITION OF THE PARIS
POLICE DEPARTMENT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS
OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JULY l, 1978.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That Section 25-1 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as
follows:
"Sec. 25-1. Composition of department.
The police department of the city shall be com -
posed of the chief of police and thirty-two (32)
members classified as follows:
(1) One (1) assistant chief.
(2) Four (4) police lieutenants.
(3) Five (5) police sergeants.
(4) Twenty-two (22) police officers. "
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on July l,
1978.
