2393 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 12-1 OF SAID CODEORDINANCE NO. 2393 ,
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 12-1 OF
SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR THE COMPOSITION OF THE PARIS
FIRE DEPARTMENT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS
OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JULY 1, 1978.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That Section 12-1 of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as
follows:
"Sec. 12 - l. Composition of department.
The fire department of the city shall be com -
posed of the fire chief and thirty-five (35) members
classified as follows:
(1) One (1) fire marshal, who shall serve as an
assistant to the fire chief.
(2) One (1) assistant fire marshal and fire training
officer.
(3) One (1) assistant fire marshal.
(4) Two (2) deputy fire chiefs.
(5) Six (6) fire engineers.
(6) Four (4) fire fighter -drivers.
(7) Twenty (20) firefighters.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Sect.ion 3. This ordinance shall become eEfective on July 1,
1978.
Passed and adopted this 1.5th day of June, 1978.
