AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF
THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDA-
RIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISH-
ING AN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A) ON PART OF LOTS 8, 9 AND
10, CITY BLOCK 188E, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO DELLA
NICHOLSON, ET AL, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FOR-
MERLY DESIGNATED AS A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) AND ES-
TABLISHING A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2) ON
LOTS 1, 2, 3, 4, 5A, 6A, 6B AND PART OF 7, CITY BLOCK 188E,
ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO THE CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH,
ET AL, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DE-
SIGNATED A.S A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C); AND DESIGNATING
THE BOUNDARIES OF THE AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A) AND
ONE FA.MILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2) SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PAR IS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the
Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas,
be, and the same are hereby changed, and that an Agricultural District
(A), be, and the same is hereby established on part of Lots 8, 9 and
10, City Block 188E, on property belonging to Della Nicholson, Et Al,
so as to include in such Agricultural District (A) the hereinafter de-
scribed property, which was formerly and is presently designated as
a Commercial District (C), and that the boundaries of said
Agricultural District (A), be, and the same are hereby established
as follows:
Beginning at the East Boundary Line of 6th Street,
S. E. 's intersection with the South Right of Way Line of
F. M. 1507 as constructed in 1974, being the North West
Corner of the Della Nicholson property;
THENCE South 600 feet with the East Boundary Line
of 6th Street, S. E. to a point;
THENCE in an Easterly direction and parallel with
the South Right of Way Line of F. M. 1507 2000 feet;
THE NCE North 600 feet to the South Boundary Line
of F. M. 1507;
THENCE in a Westerly direction with the South
Boundary Line of F. M. 1507 to the place of beginning.
Section 2. That the boundaries heretofore established by the
Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a One-Family
Dwelling District No. 2(SF -2), be, and the same is hereby es -
tablished on Lots l, 2, 3, 4, 5A, 6, 6A, 6B and part of 7, City
Block 188E, on property belonging to The Calvary Baptist Church,
Et A1, so as to include in such One-Family Dwelling District No. 2
(SF-2), the hereinafter described property, which was formerly and
is presently designated as a Commercial District (C), and that the
boundaries of said One-Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2), be,
and the same are hereby established as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the North Boundary
Line of F. M. 1507 with the South East Boundary Line of
Evergreen Street, being the South West Corner of Lot 1,
City Block 188E;
THENCE in a North Easterly direction with the
Boundary Line of Evergreen Street to its intersection with
the South Boundary Line of Jefferson Road and the North
West Corner of Lot 2, City Block 188E;
THENCE in an Easterly direction with the South
Boundary Line of Jefferson Road, 1260 feet, more or less,
to the point of intersection with an extension of the East
Boundary Line of 12th Street, S. E. ;
THENCE South to the North Boundary Line of F. M.
1507;
THENCE West with the North Boundary Line of F. M.
1507 to the place of beginning.
SAVE AND EXCEPT Lot 5, City Block 188E, owned
by Nathan Bell, the same having been preliminarily platted
as MEADOW PLACE ADDITION.
Section 3. That the Director of Community Development of the
City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning
Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same,
and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris in
regular session convened in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas,
on this the 9th day of December, 1974.
