AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 1710
OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE
BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY;
ESTABLISHING TWO (2) ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICTS
NO. 2(SF-2), DESCRIBED IN TWO TRACTS AS FOLLOWS: TRACT l,
ON LOTS 4, 5, 6 AND 7, CITY BLOCK 188C, ON PROPERTY BELONG-
ING TO KA.THRYN VAUGHAN, ET AL, AND TRACT 2, ON LOTS 3,
3A, 4, 5, 5A, 5B AND 5C, CITY BLOCI< 188D, ON PROPERTY BELONG-
ING TO DON C. WHITAKER, ET AL, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN
TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS
(C); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE TWO (2)
ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICTS NO. 2(SF-2) SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the
Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas,
be, and the same are hereby changed, and that two (2) One-Family
Dwelling Districts No. 2(SF -2), be, and the same are hereby es -
tablished and described in two tracts as follows: Tract l, on Lots 4,
5, 6 and 7, City Block 188C, on property belonging to Kathryn Vaughan,
Et A1, and Tract 2, on Lots 3, 3A, 4, 5, 5A, 5B and 5C, City Block
188D, on property belonging to Don C. Whitaker, Et Al, so as to include
in such One-Family Dwelling Districts No. 2(SF-2), the hereinafter
described two tracts, which were formerly and are presently designated
as Commercial Districts (C), and that the boundaries of the said
One -Family Dwelling Districts No. 2(SF -2), be, and the same are
hereby established as follows:
TRACT l: Beginning at the intersection of the West
Boundary Line of 12th Street, S. E. with the South Boundary
Line of the Paris & Mt. Pleasant Railway Company Right
of Way, being the North East Corner of Lot 5, City
Block 188D;
THENCE South 596.4 feet to the South East Corner of
Lot 5A, City Block 188D, being the intersection of the West
Boundary Line of 12th Street, S. E. and the North Boundary
Line of Jefferson Road;
THENCE in a Westerly direction with the North Boundary
Line of Jefferson Road 492. 5 feet to the South West Corner
of Lot 3, City Block 1881);
THENCE North 600 feet with the West Boundary Lines
of Lot 3 and Lot 5, City Block 188D to the North West
Corner of Lot 5, City Block 188D, the same being in the
South Boundary Line of the Paris & Mt. Pleasant Railway
Company Right of Way;
THENCE in an Easterly direction with the South Boundary
Line of the Paris & Mt. Pleasant Railway Company Right of
Way 492. 5 feet to the place of beginning.
TRACT 2: Beginning at the intersection of the West
Boundary Line of 8th Street, S. E. with the West Boundary
Line of the Paris & Mt. Pleasant Railway Company Right of
Way, being the North East Corner of Lot 4, City Block 188C;
THENCE South 490 feet to the North East Corner of
Lot 8, City Block 188C;
THENCE West 96 feet to the North East Corner of
Lot 7, City Block 188C;
THENCE in a Southerly direction 130 feet to the
South East Corner of Lot 7, City Block 188C, and the
North Boundary Line of Jefferson Road;
THENCE in a Westerly direction with the North
Boundary Line of Jefferson Road 224 feet to the South
West Corner of Lot 5, City Block 188C;
THENCE North 630 feet with the West Boundary Lines
of Lot 5 and Lot 4, City Block 188C to the North West
Corner of Lot 4, City Block 188C, the same being in the
South Boundary Line of the Paris & Mt. Pleasant Railway
Company Right of Way;
THENCE in an Easterly direction with the South
Boundary Line of the Paris & Mt. Pleasant Railway Company
Right of Way 305 feet to the place of beginning.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development of the
City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map
of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance
No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in
accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. A.11 ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris in
regular session convened in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris,
Texas, on this the 13th day of January, 1975.
