BE AMENDED BY ADDING
CREATING AN AIRPORT SECURITY ALL ORDINANOCES OOR PARTS OF ,
PARIS, TEXAS; REPEALING
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF MAY 12, 1975.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That the C~ ode Ordinances 6f 3t le O1tT ad asris
be amended by adding a s
follows:
"Section 6-3. l. Airport Security Divi.sion.
There is hereby created an Airport Security Division
for Cox Field, Paris, Texas, to be composed of personnel
under the direction of the Airport Manager, who shall be
uniformed, armed and certified peace officers, with full
police powers. The Airport Security Division personnel
will be responsible for the safety and security of
passengers and cargo and observing the screening of
passengers and cargo until the carriers depart the
terminal area, and such other duties as may be prescribed
by the Airport Manager. "
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on May 12,
1975.
