2237 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORIDNANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 25-1 OF SAID CODEORDINANCE NO. 2237 .
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS,
PARIS, TEXAS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 25-1 OF
SAID CODE, PROVIDING FOR THE COMPOSITION OF THE PARIS
POLICE DEPARTMENT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS
OR ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF AUGUST 11, 1975.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS:
Section l. That Section 25-1 of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of Pari s, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read
as follows:
"Section 25-1. Composition of department.
The police department of the city shall be com -
posed of the chief of police, his assistant and thirty (30)
members classified as follows:
(1) Four (4) police lieutenants.
(2) Five (5) police sergeants.
(3) Twenty-one (21) police officers. "
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on
August 11, 1975.
