AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE ALLEY, BEGINNING AT THE
WEST BOUNDARY LINE OF 17TH STREET, S. W., AT THE SOUTH
EAST CORNER OF LOT l, BLOCK 3, S. J. WRIGHT ADDITION,
AND THE NORTH EAST CORNER OF LOT 16, BLOCI< 3, S. J.
WRIGHT ADDITION, BEING 15 FEET WIDE AND EXTENDING IN
A WESTERLY DIRECTION 400 FEET, MORE OR LESS, TO THE
EAST BOUNDARY LINE OF 18TH STREET, S. W. AND THE SOUTH
WEST CORNER OF LOT 8, BLOCK 3, S. J. WRIGHT ADDITION,
AND THE NORTH WEST CORNER OF LOT 9, BLOCK 3, S. J.
WRIGHT ADDITION, LYING ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH BOUNDARY
LINES OF LOTS 1 THROUGH 8 AND ADJACENT TO THE NORTH
BOUNDARY LINES OF LOTS 9 THROUGH 16, ALL IN BLOG'K 3 OF
THE S. J. WRIGHT ADDITION, RECORDED BOOK 53, PAGE 476,
DEED RECORDS, LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS, AND DECLARING NO
NECESSITY OR NEED OF SAID ALLEY FOR CITY USE, AND PRO-
VIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF NOVEMBER 10, 1975.
Whereas, it has been brought to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Paris that an alley, beginning at the West
Boundary Line of 17th Street, S. W. , at the South East Corner of
Lot 1, Block 3, S. J. Wright Addition, and the North East Corner
of Lot 16, Block 3, S. J. Wright Addition, being 15 feet wide and
extending in a Westerly direction 400 feet, more or less, to the
East Boundary Line of 18th Street, S. W. and the South West Corner
of Lot 8, Block 3, S. J. Wright Addition, and the North West Corner
of Lot 9, Block 3, S. J. Wright Addition, lying adjacent to the South
Boundary Lines of Lots 1 through 8 and adjacent to the North
Boundary Lines of Lots 9 through 16, all in Block 3 of the S. J.
Wright Addition, recorded Book 53, Page 476, Deed Records, Lamar
County, Texas, is of no use as an alley to the City of Paris or to its
citizens, and the City Council so finds; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That the alley, beginning at the West Boundary Line
of 17th Street, S. W. , at the South East Corner of Lot 1, Block 3,
S. J. Wright Addition, and the North East Corner of Lot 16, Block 3,
S. J. Wright Addition, being 15 feet wide and extending in a Westerly
direction 400 feet, more or less, to the East Boundary Line of 18th
Street, S. W. and the South West Corner of Lot 8, Block 3, S. J.
Wright Addition, and the North West Corner of Lot 9, Block 3, S. J.
Wright A.ddition, lying adjacent to the South Boundary Lines of Lots 1
through 8 and adjacent to the North Boundary Lines of Lots 9 through
16, all in Block 3 of the S. J. Wright Addition, recorded Book 53,
Page 476, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas, is hereby closed.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective on
November 10, 1975.
Passed and adopted this lOth day of November, 1975.
