AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE
CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS2 AND CHANGING THE BOUNDARIFS ES-
TABLISHED BY THE ZOIVING MAP OF SAID CITY; FSTABLISHING A
LIC~iT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI) ON A PART OF LOT 3, CITY BLOCK
317, ON PROPERTY BFLONGING TO W. C. PAYNE, SO AS TO INCLUDE
THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS AN AGRICUI.TURAL
DISTRICT (A); AND DFSIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE LIGHT
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT (LI ) SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established
by the Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris,
Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a
Light Industrial District (LI), be, and the same is hereby es-
tablished on a part of Lot 3, City Block 317, on property be-
longing to W. C. Payne, so as to include in such Light
Industrial District (LI) the hereinafter described property,
which was formerly and is presently designated as an
Agricultural District (A), and that the boundaries of said
Light Industrial District (LI), be, and the same are hereby
established as follows:
Situated partly within the Corporate Limits of the
City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, a
part of the Joseph Leach Survey, and being a part of a
43.196 acre tract of land conveyed to Cy L. Wright as
recorded in Vol. 442, Page 411, of the Deed Records of
said County and State, and being the same tract of land
conveyed to W. T. Franklin by deed recorded in Book
458, Page 169, Lamar County Deed Records, described by
metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a stake for corner at the intersection
of the North Boundary Line of Pine Mill Road with the
East Boundary Line of Loop Highway 286, said point being
the most southerly Southwest corner of said Wright tract
of land;
THENCE South 87 Deg. 20 Min. East along the North
Boundary Line of Pine Mill Road a distance of 352.6 feet
to a stake for corner;
THENCE North 89 Deg. East along the North Bounda,ry
Line of Pine Mill Road a distance of 161.7 feet to a
stake for corner;
THENCE North 2 Deg. 15 Min. East along the East
Boundary Line of said Leach Survey a distance of 407.5
feet to a post for corner at an ell corner of said
Wright tract of land;
THENCE West a distance of 744 feet to a stake for
corner in the East Boundary Line of sai d Loop Highway
286;
THENCE along the East Boundary Line of Loop Highway
286 as follows: South 19 Deg. 58 Min. East a distance
of 27 feet; South 18 Deg. 46 Min. East a di stance of 100
feet; South 17 Deg. 01 Min. Ea.st a distance of 100 feet;
South 14 Deg. 59 Min. East a distance of 91.5 feet;
South 62 Deg. 32 Min. East, a distance of 136.7 feet;
South 0 Deg. 16 Min. East a distance of 25 feet to the
place of beginning, and containing 6.07 acres of land,
as determined by an actual survey on the ground by W. R.
Abbott, Registered Public Surveyor of Texas on July 12,
1967.
Being the same property described in deed recorded
Book 516, Page 23, Deed Records, Lamar County, Texas.
SAVE AND EXCEPT a tract of land sold off, to-wit :
A part of the said Joseph Leach Survey, situated partly
within the Corporate Limits of the City of Paris, Lamar
County, Texas, and being the tract described
in the deed to Edmond A. Parham by deed
1969, recorded in Book 489, Page 451, Lamar County Deed
Records, and also a part of said 43.196 acre tract con-
veyed to Cy L. Wright by deed recorded in Boolc 442,
Page 411, Laznar County, Texas Deed Records, as well as
a part of sai d 6.07 acre tract above described by metes
and bounds, said tract so sold off being described by
metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a stake for corner at a point 50 feet
West of the Northeast corner of the above described 6.07
acre tract, said coxner being in the East Boundary Line
of said Leach Survey;
THENCE East 50 feet a stake being the Northeast
corner of the said above described 6.07 acre tract in
the East Boundary Line of said Leach Survey;
THENCE South 2 Deg. 15 Min. West alongthe East
Soundary Line of said Joseph Leach Survey and said 6.07
acre tract a distance of 407.5 feet a stake for corner
at the intersection of the said East Boundary Lines of
Joseph Leach Survey and said 6.07 acre tract with the
North Boundary Line of Pine Mill Road~he North Boundary
THENC E South 89 Deg. West along
Line of said road, a distance of 50 feet a stake for
corner;
THENCE North to the place of beginning, containirg
less than one-half (1/2) acre of land so sold off of
said above described 6.07 acre tract.
Being a part of Lot 3, City Block 317.
Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris,
be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the
City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance
No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same, and in
accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of
Paris in regular session convened in the Council Room, City
Hall, Paris, Texas, on this the lOth day of July, 1972.
