AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXA.S, PROVID-
ING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCFS, CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS,
BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 25-1 OF SAID CODE, PROVIDING
FOR THE COMPOSITION OF THE PARIS POLICE DEPARTMFNT; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCFS OR PARTS OF ORDINANCFS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 1, 1973.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
Section l. That Section 25-1 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such
shall read as followso
"Section 25-1. Composition of department.
The police department of the city shall be
composed of the chief of police, his administrative
assistant and thirty-one (31) members classified
as follows :
(1) Four (4) lieutenants.
(2) Five (5) sergeants.
(3) Twenty-two (22) patrolmen."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on
January l, 1973.
