AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF
THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDA-
RIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISH-
ING A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR), FIRE LIMITS, ON LOTS 3,
4, 5, 6, 7 AND 8, BLOCK 2, S. J. WRIGHT ADDITION, AND THE
ALLEY BETWEEN SAID LOTS, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO GARRETT
MEMORIAL METHODIST CHURCH, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN
TERRITORY FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A ONE -FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT NO. 2(SF -2) AND A TWO-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT
(2F); AND DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE GENERAL RETAIL
DISTRICT (GR), FIRE LIMITS, SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section l. That the boundaries heretofore established by the
Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas,
be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a General Retail
District (GR), Fire Limits, be, and the same is hereby established on
Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 2, S. J. Wright Addition, and the
alley between said lots, on property belonging to Garrett Memorial
Methodist Church, so as to include in such General Retail District (GR),
Fire Limits, the hereinafter described property, which was formerly
and is presently designated as a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2
(SF-2) and a Two-Family Dwelling District (217), and that the boundaries
of said General Retail District (GR), Fire Limits, be, and the same are
hereby established as follows:
Situated within the corporate limits of the City of
Paris, Lamar County, Texas, and being Lots 3, 4 and 5,
Block 2, S. J. Wright Addition, fronting 150 feet on the
South Side of Bonham Street, and Lots 6, 7 and 8, Block
2, S. J. Wright Addition, fronting 150 feet on the North
Side of West Kaufman Street, and the alley between said
lots being 15 feet in width, including the alley fronting
275 feet on the East Side of 17th Street, S. W.
Section 2. That the City Engineer of the City of Paris, be, and
he is hereby directed to change the Zoning Map of the City of Paris in
accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use
map accompanying the same, and in accordance with the provisions of
this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon passage.
