2151 ORD PROVIDING CODE OF ORDINANCES BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 12-1 OF SAID CODEORDINANCE NO. 2151
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CIT'Y OF PARIS, PA.RIS, TEXA.S PROVIDING
THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CIT'Y OF PARIS, PARIS2 TEXAS2 BE
AMMENDED BY REVISING SDCTION 12-1 OF SAID CODE2 PROVIDING FOR
THE COMPOSITION OF THE PARIS FIRE DEPARTMENT; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCFS OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN COIVFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFDCTIVE DATE OF JULY 1, 1973.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIT'Y OF PARIS:
Section 1. That Section 12-1 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be ammended so that such
shall read as follows:
"Section 12-1. Composition of department.
The fire department of the city shall be composed
of the chief of the department and thirty-four (34)
members classified as follows :
(1) One (1) f ire marshall, who shall also serve
as an assistant chief.
(2) Three (3) assistant chiefs, one of which shall
be designated training officer.
(3) Six (6) engineers.
(4) Four (4) drivers.
(5) Twenty (20) firemen."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective on
July 1, 1973.
