AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF
THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDA-
RIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISH-
ING A GENERAL RETAIL DISTRICT (GR), FIRE LIMITS, LIMITED TO
THE SPECIFIC USE OF A SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION, ON
LOT 1, CITY BLOCK 248-B AND ON LOT 1, BLOCK D, CROCKETT
PLACE ADDITION, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO ROBERT S.
NORMENT, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FORMERLY
DESIGNATED AS A TWO-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (2F); AND
DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE GENERAL RETAIL
DISTRICT (GR), FIRE LIMITS, LIMITED TO THE SPECIFIC USE OF
A SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION, SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PAR IS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the
Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a General
Retail District (GR), Fire Limits, limited to the Specific Use of a
Savings and Loan Association, be, and the same is hereby establish-
ed on Lot l, City Block 248 -B and on Lot l, Block D, Crockett
Place Addition, on property belonging to Robert S. Norment, so as
to include in such General Retail District (GR), Fire Limits,
limited to the Specific Use of a Savings and Loan Association, the
hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is p~esently
designated as a Two-Family Dwelling District (217), and that the
boundaries of said General Retail District (GR), Fire Limits,
limited to the Specific Use of a Savings and Loan Association, be,
and the same are hereby established as follows:
A part of the George W. Cox Survey within the
corporate limits of the City of Paris, described by metes
and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a stake at the intersection of the SB
line of Clarksville Street with the EB line of 19th Street SE,
formerly known as 35th Street;
THENCE with the SB line of
Southeasterly direction 175 feet, a

said Lot 1 in Block D and between it and Clarksville Street.
And being Lot 1, City Block No. 248 -B.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development of the
City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning
Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same,
and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of cr dinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris in
regular session convened in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris,
Texas, on this the 9th day of July, 1973.
