AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF
THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE BOUNDA-
RIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY; ESTABLISH-
ING A ONE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2) AND A
NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS) ON A. PART OF LOT 5,
CITY BLOCK 313, ON PROPERTY BELONGING TO I<AY BROWN AND
D. WAYNE BROWN, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY FOR-
MERLY DESIGNATED AS AN A.GRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A); AND
DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ONE-FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2) AND NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE DISTRICT (NS),
SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PAR IS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the
Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas,
be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a One-Family Dwelling
District No. 2(SF -2), be, and the same is hereby established on a
Part of Lot 5, City Block 313, on property belonging to Kay Brown and
D. Wayne Brown, so as to include in such One-Family Dwelling District
No. 2(SF -2) the hereinafter described property, which was formerly
and is presently designated as an Agricultural District (A), and that
the boundaries of said One-Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2), be,
and the same are hereby established as follows:
Situated partly within the Corporate Limits of the
City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texas, a
part of the Joseph Leach Survey and being a tract of
land now owned by Kay and Wayne Brown.
Beginning at a stake for corner in the East
Boundary Line of Loop Highway 286 at the North
Boundary Line of a 25. 68 acre tract of land conveyed
J. L. Jopling by deed recorded in Vol. 209, Page 581,
of the Deed Records of said County and State;
Thence S 89 Degrees 07 Minutes E a distance of
767 feet to a stake for corner at the Northeast corner
of the said Jopling tract of land;
Thence S 0 Degrees 30 Minutes W a distance of
720 feet to a stake for corner;
Thence S 89 Degrees 30 Minutes E a distance of
150 feet to a stake for corner;
Thence N 0 Degrees 30 Minutes E a distance of
35 feet to a stake for corner;
Thence S 89 Degrees 30 Minutes E a distance of
250 feet to a stake for corner;
Thence S 0 Degrees 30 Minutes W a distance of
185 feet to a stake for corner;
Thence N 89 Degrees 30 Minutes W a distance of
12 feet to a stake for corner;
Thence S 0 Degrees 30 Minutes W a distance of

139 feet to a stake for corner in the East Boundary
Line of Loop Highway 286;
Thence along the East Boundary Line of Loop
Highway 286 as follows: N 26 Degrees W a distance of
434 feet to a concrete marker; Northwesterly around a
curve to the right a distance of 372 feet to a stake for
corner;
Thence S 89 Degrees 30 Minutes E 266 feet to a
stake for corner inthe West Boundary Line of proposed
38th Street S. E. , saici stake also being in a proposed
curve to the left and tangent to said curve at this point
bears N 20 Degrees 34 Minutes W;
Thence following said proposed West Boundary
Line of said 38th Street in a Northwesterly direction as
follows: Northwesterly 24 feet a stake, the end of
said curve to the left; Northwesterly along a curve to
the right a distance of 183. 56 feet to the end of said
curve a stake for corner in the South Boundary Line of
Proposed Dawn Drive;
Thence N 89 Degrees 30 Minutes W a distance of
117. 6 feet to the beginning of a curve to the left a
stake;
Thence in a Southwesterly direction along said
curve to the left and South Boundary Line of said
proposed Dawn Drive, a distance of 130. 1 feet to the
end of said curve a stake;
Thence S 71 Degrees 06 Minutes W a distance of
37 feet to a stake for corner in the East Boundary Line
of Loop Highway 286;
Thence in a Northwesterly direction along the East
Boundary Line of Loop Highway 286 and a curve to the
right a distance of 956. 5 feet to the place of
beginning.
Section 2. That the boundaries heretofore established by the
Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas,
be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a Neighborhood Service
District (NS), be, and the same is hereby established on a Part of
Lot 5, City Block 313, on property belonging to Kay Brown and D. Wayne
Brown, so as to include in such NPighborhood Service District (NS) the
hereinafter described property, which was formerly and is presently
designated as an Agricultural District (A), and that the boundaries of
said Neighborhood Service District (NS), be, and the same are hereby
established as follows:
Situated within the Corporate Limits of the City of Paris,
County of Lamar, and State of Texas, a part of the Joseph
Leach Survey, and being a part of the proposed Morningside
Addition to the City of Paris, and also being a part of the
following tracts conveyed J. L. Jopling; 25. 68 acres in Vol.
29g Page 581 and 21. 8 acres in Vol. 309, Page 11 of the
Deed Records of said C;ounty and State and being further de-
scribed as follows:
Beginning at a stake for corner at the intersection of
the East Boundary Line of Loop Highway 286 and the South
Boundary of Proposed Dawn Drive of the Morningside Addition,
said stake also being Southeasterly along the Boundary Line of
said Highway a distance of 956. 5 feet from the intersection
of the North Boundary Line of said 25. 68 acre tract and the
East Boundary Line of said Highway;
Thence N 71 Degrees 06 Minutes E along the South
Boundary Line of said proposed Dawn Drive a distance of 37
feet to the beginning of a proposed curve to the right having
a radius of 384. 26 feet;
Thence along said proposed curve to the right a dis-
tance of 130. 1 feet to the end of said curve;
Thence South 89 Degrees 30 Minutes E continuing along
said South Boundary Line of said proposed Dawn Drive a dis -
tance of 117. 6 feet to a stake for corner, the intersection of
the South Boundary Line of proposed 38th Street S. E. and
said South Boundary Line of proposed Dawn Drive;
Thence in a Southeasterly direction along a curve to the
left having a radius of 434. 26 feet, and the West Boundary
Line of said proposed 38th Street S. E. a distance of 183. 56
feet to a stake the end of said curve;
Thence continuing in a Southeasterly direction along said
proposed West Boundary Line of said proposed 38th Street
S. E. and a curve to the right having a radius of 384. 26 feet
a distance of 24 feet to a stake for corner tangent to said
curve at this point bears S 20 Degrees 34 Minutes E.
Thence N 89 Degrees 30 Minutes W a distance of 266
feet to a stake for corner in the East Boundary Line of Loop
Highway 286;
Thence in a Northwesterly direction along said East
Boundary Line of said highway and a curve to the right having
a radius of 17, 125. 8 feet a distance of 178 feet to the place
of beginning and containing 0. 654 acres of land.
Section 3. That the Director of Community Development of the
City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change the Zoning
Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the same,
and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 4. A11 ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris in
regular session convened in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris,
