AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710
OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, AND CHANGING THE
BOUNDARIES ESTABLISHED BY THE ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY;
ESTABLISHING A ONE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2)
ON A PART OF LOT 5, CITY BLOCK 188E, ON PROPERTY BELONG-
ING TO NATHAN BELL, SO AS TO INCLUDE THEREIN TERRITORY
FORMERLY DESIGNATED AS A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C); AND
DESIGNATING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE ONE-FAMILY DWELLING
DISTRICT NO. 2(SF-2) SO ESTABLISHED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS:
Section 1. That the boundaries heretofore established by the
Zoning Map and Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Paris,
Texas, be, and the same are hereby changed, and that a One -Family
Dwelling District No. 2(SF -2), be, and the same is hereby es -
tablished on a part of Lot 5, City Block 188E, on property belonging
to Nathan Bell, so as to include in such One Family Dwelling District
No. 2(SF-2), the hereinafter described property, which was formerly
and is presently designated as a Commercial District (C), and that
the boundaries of said One-Family Dwelling District No. 2(SF-2),
be, and the same are hereby established as follows:
All that certain tract or parcel of land situated within
the Corporate Limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar,
State of Texas, being a part of the Larkin Rattan Survey
Abst. No. 778 and also being a part of the same 11. 86 acre
tract of land conveyed B. P. Denny by America Russell on
November 20, 1897 and of record in Book 228, Page 398, in
the Deed Records of said County and State and being further
described as follows:
Beginning at an iron pin for corner in the South Boundary
Line of existing Farm Road No. 1507 said pin being at the
intersection of said South Boundary Line of said Farm Road
and the East Boundary Line of the above mentioned 11.86
acre tract;
Thence S 1 Degree Ol Minute E along the East
Boundary Line of said 11. 86 acres a distance of 321. 7 feet
to a stake for corner in the North Boundary Line of proposed
Farm Road No. 1507;
Thence S 89 Degrees 24 Minutes W along the North
Boundary Line of said Proposed Highway a distance of 52
feet, a concrete marker;
Thence S 89 Degrees 16 M.in. W continuing along
said North Boundary Line of said highway a distance of
348. 6 feet a stake for corner;
Thence N 0 Degrees 48 Minutes W a distance of
151. 3 feet to an iron pin for corner;
Thence N 89 Degrees 16 Minutes E a distance of
9. 8 feet to an iron pin for corner;
Thence N 0 Degrees 48 Minutes E a distance of
170. 4 feet to a stake for corner in the South Boundary Line
of existing F. M. Hwy. 1507;
Thence N 89 Degrees 16 Minutes E along the South
Boundary Line of said Hwy. a distance of 390 feet to the
place of beginning and containing 2. 908 acres of land.
Being described in accordance with an actual survey
made on the ground by R. S. Chaney, Registered Professional
Engineer No. 15688, State of Texas, on the 20th day of April,
1974.
Being a part of Lot 5, City Block 188E.
Section 2. That the Director of Community Development of
the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby directed to change the
Zoning Map of the City of Paris in accordance with the provisions
of Ordinance No. 1710 and the land use map accompanying the
same, and in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby expressly repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon passage.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris in
regular session convened in the Council Room, City Hall, Paris,
Texas, on this the 9th day of September, 1974.
